Breathe

Hi! This post is a just because! Because I love journaling, stencils, mixed media, mistakes and all. It's all about experimenting and having fun, actually to breathe...
And a little of know how to share as well
Start with Dylusions in London Blue, Fresh Lime and Calypso Teal
Using Gabrielle Pollacos new TCW stencil as sea weed apply modeling paste and top it with embossing powder. I'm using Zing in teal
Dry, now take TCW stencil for the sea horse and sea stars using Zing in Apricot
Don't you just love reveals...

Now do your stars and use Gabrielle's stencil to breathe!!!
Hope you loved this!!! Because I do!

Remember the Now

Well I must confess purple and all its hues are not exactly my faves. But I think that's the purpose of challenges. To take you out of your comfort zone and make you think outside the box. So it is surprising for me to decide on a second purple project for /scrapafrica
Playing on my journal today while teaching some gelato techniques with stamps today!
Very bold I think but that goes with Dina Wakley stamps. She is a believer and Tim Holtz Remember the Now!
Black cherry and lime gelatos with Prima stamps

Some free doodling
I connected the words too
What I used
And how my day was finished.
Here's the mood board again
Thanks for visiting!

Dream

Hi everybody! Today I am sending you over to the Bloom Girls blog for some how to info on making this and the previous project, see you there!
I made this page using the new mood board at Scrap Africa a dream of purple, lavender and olive hues!

I wanted to change the cardinals color and made a research on purple birds. There were so many but I settled for this cute guy as my inspiration

I used several colors of Gelatos to mimic nature and the mood board, ere are some details for you!

The flowers cover nicely the gap where the horn used to be

I'm also using a real purple bird for the photo of my page   Can you spot the bird feeding!

Here's the  fab purple mood board!

As always lovely to have you here!

Happy Haunting!

Hi everybody!!! I have been looking at the Sept Prima PPP colors and they remind me of Halloween.  So I decided to make a small canvas for my home!

I'm using several products from the PPP picks as well as most of the colors
I started with a blank canvas that I black gessoed. Then I used Finnabair crackle stamp with some gold embossing. After that I used the new magical mica powders to turn it into violet!
I stamped, fuzzy cut and xacto Payton horns from the new Bloom Girls stamps   I was inspired by the spider web in them!

I hand painted Franks tulle flowers using magical a for the mustard color in the palette. His chain is used as a piece of Web to hold the spider.  She has a violet sequin center from the new sequins   And SIIC!

For the title of my project I chose Julie Nutting Halloween stamp and recycled the packaging from my crackle stamp to use the Kraft color of the PPP

I love it when I can upcycle!

I also decorated My wood easel with Sandra Evertson's new Dresden trims in gold!

It's all in the details!

Here's the PPP for your inspiration !

As always lovely to have you here!

What?

This past December we had the opportunity to visit Busch Gardens in Florida.  My eyes were those of a kid, it was my favorite park! The rides were thrilling, the Christmas decorations over the top and the overall experience was unforgettable. Now we are animal lovers  in our home but one individual in particular wasn't too fond of them until this day.  My husband booked a giraffe feeding and the bonding he made was forever. This particular giraffe chose him and wrapped him up and stayed with him the whole time changing his face to smitten, goey, in love!  And then we had this experience with kangaroos and wallabies and boy he was a changed man!
So here's my page celebrating that WHAT moment that changed his views forever!!!
This month the challenge uses a sketch by Em and she inspires me to work with boys!
There's no denying the feeding and petting here! But seriously who could resist when they are so soft and gentle!

I stamped a big triangle with the crackle stamp
And instead of paper I used the sides of the pics to document the day!
Here's the sketch if you want to "tri  hard" too!!!

New month, new challenges! Have you seen the new sketch at Scrap Africa? It's divine perfect for 3 photos (although I'm using just one) still it's this cute pic I had on my phone before it decided to die on me so I took it to my photo kiosk and develop years and years of pictures there!
Here's my take on Denise's wonderful sketch!
The details before anything went down here's a backstage view!

Theresa lot of mixed media here, a TCW stencil and several Prima stamp, watercolors, gelatos and mica powder guess I got hooked on last challenges tangerine!
More for you to see the sheen of the page!

6:35 pm, Prima BAP, SATW

Welcome September! And the challenges you bring! When I first saw the new mood board over at    Scrap Around the World I thought it looked dainty and feminine, so perfect with the light blue and the pretty pink rose. But then as I was scanning my Instagram I found this photo my son posted two days ago, he just started College and is keeping a journal. There went the dainty part of the mood and in went the rough, wood, masculine side of it!  And then  today Riika made this yummy sketch for the Prima BAP and the inspiration was instantaneous!  I mean full blown explosion of knowing exactly where I was going with it! And of course /scrapki-wyzwaniowo challenge is school memories So I hope you enjoy this, no frills rough interpretation of them!

The subtle blue was on the Timeless Memories paper, more was added with Finnabair's mica powder over the crackled surface!

I used a clock stamp from the Epiphany collection and a couple of circles and text from Finnabair's stamps
The brown splatters were done with the worn leather Bloom Spray the black with the watercolor pencils

I also wanted the "don't forget to LIVE in there!

The crack le stamp was just the finishing touch here!

So loving it!

And to finish a shot of my calligraphy, part of the mood board!

So I hope you are as excited as I am about this new month and the challenges it brings! Here's the inspiration behind my work!

And the BAP

Thanks for spending some time with me today!
